Being that I’m not much of a BBQ sauce girl, I thought we’d grill up these ribs with a Memphis Style rub instead. I didn’t want sugar, but instead opted for honey which I drizzled on them prior to the rub. This way the spices stuck to it and it formed a nice crust on the outside.
Ingredients:
- 2-3 racks of pork baby back ribs
- honey (less than 1/4 cup)
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1/4 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp cayenne
- 1 tbsp cumin
- celery seed
Remove silver skin if the butcher hasn’t, rinse and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet, drizzle honey and spread it all over. Apply the rub liberally all over. If you have extra, do front and back. Place on a grill rib rack at 250 degrees for about 3 hours.
