This is one of my all time favorite healthy “cheats”. I always keep frozen bananas around for this purpose or to add to smoothies (but mostly for this!) I use my Vitamix Blender, which I love, and it turns frozen bananas into smooth, creamy ice cream that you can add anything under the sun to. I’ve added Oreo pieces for the kids and its still better for them than regular ice cream or frozen yogurt with all the extra sugar added sugars. Consider adding things like chia seeds, flax seeds, nuts, fruit, nut butters, cocoa, different flavors of protein powder, honey and anything else you may enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas
1 scoop protein powder (I used Optimum Nutrition Cookies and Cream Gold Standard Whey)
2 tbsp almond butter
Directions:
In a high powered blender, add frozen bananas and blend well until completely smooth. Turn it off and add protein powder and nut butter and blend until completely incorporated.
