Hello badasses! My apologies for being MIA for a bit, I’ve been buried in a few exciting projects recently and wanted to drop in a catch you up to speed. In addition to finalizing my book From Broken to Badass over the next month for its release in early 2016, you may not be aware of my commitment to a local charity to raise awareness for children in foster care. I am passionate about giving back and especially where it benefits children, as my three are my universe. It makes my heart so full to bring attention to the needs of over 17,000 children in the Arizona foster care system alone. I am so fortunate to be part of this group of amazing people.
We spent the past month planning a big fashion show in honor of the Johnjay and Rich Care for Kids Foundation and it was a huge success! We shared brand new logos for our #LoveUP t-shirts which are available here: #LoveUP Shirt with more styles being added regularly. The sale of these shirts directly benefits children in foster care. #LoveUP
Due to some amazing local designers creating pieces exclusively for our show, we had a fun and very successful evening. Thank you to Angela Johnson, Sheri Loraine and Brianne Bridge for sharing your special talents and hearts with us! I had the great honor of walking in the show in a design by Angela Johnson which was made entirely of upcycled #LoveUP shirts. After I reached out to Sheri Loraine to participate in our event, she shared with me that she and her husband are currently going through the process of adopting a child they are fostering. I was floored by such a beautiful story and wanted to share her video about the making of her stunning crystal encrusted gown.

Thanks for checking in, and while I am very anxious about the release of From Broken to Badass, I know in my heart I was meant to share my story with you. As always, thanks truly for your support! #RBAB
