Bombshell Sandbag Workout

Need a little pep in your step today?  I’ve put together a few moves to start your day off right.  If done steadily and with proper form, this workout will have you sweating up a storm.  I love training functionally anytime I can.  This is a fun one!

Today’s workout consists of 4 different exercises that you will do 4 times through totaling 16 minutes.  Give it heck people, it’s only 16 minutes of your day!

Set your Gymboss: 15 rounds/ 15 seconds rest/45 seconds work

  • Bear Hug Squat Jumps
  • Side to Side Oblique Twists
  • Arc Press Squat
  • Shoveling

Bear Hug Squat Jumps

Go deep and sit back.  You will feel as if you are going to fall backwards.  Just stabilize.  The higher you jump, the better.

Shoveling

Make sure to use you legs and to move the bag by thrusting your hips.  You will NOT be using your upper body for this despite how it looks.  Your legs will do the work.  Pivot your foot as you thrust the bag to the opposite site aka shovelling-like movement.
